The title says it all, I'm a front-end dev looking to join the traveling JavaScript circus as a full time consultant. I've investigated roles at Accenture and Perficient, what other companies should I check out?#recruiting #hiring
McKinsey / Bain / BCG / Deloitte You can travel to your heart's content

Devs never travel at any consulting firm I worked at. Market yourself as an architect instead. That being said, due to COVID every consulting firm is re evaluating their stance on travel. Remember, clients sent consultants and contractors home first when COVID broke, and typically 1 month before mandating WFH. This will be the end of the travel lifestyle altogether.
From what I've seen, they're often mixed roles, half consulting/architecting/diagnosing, half implementing and training the locals? I freelanced for a decade and at the end I was basically a firefighter, called in specifically to address disasters, and consulting looks like the right place to flex that skill.
Cool story bro but this is not a great time to get into consulting when companies are laying off people and travel basically never coming back.
