Getting Auto Loan from First Tech Federal Credit Union

I am starting in Microsoft Redmond Campus in Next month. I want to get a certified pre-owned car (CPA). I have seen First Tech FCU in Redmond campus. Will they be happy to help me finance a good car within one month of joining. I will be short on cash for first 4 weeks. I have done internship at MS earlier. Does it help? Any review or feedback on their services is appreciated. Thanks!

FirstTech is great. Verity and BECU are also good and sometimes have better rates. To get the best rate, wait until you have cash for a down payment especially if you have limited credit history. Although with MS offer, down is sometimes not needed. In the meantime, consider alternate means of commuting. One of my regrets was getting sucked into a solo driver lifestyle early on.

Your MS offer supports your case, FirstTech will use that offer to give you the loan

Scoop is another option for commute , it is subsidized by MS and it is reliable and flexible comparing to van pool

First Tech is good! I got a loan at 4.89 in my 2nd month without credit history, 0 down payment.

They’re great, but it’s not like they’ll forgo ordinary rules of underwriting because you were an intern. Pretty easy to apply online, rates will be based on your credit worthiness. New Microsoft employee advantage is for home mortgage.

They offered me 60k car loan based on my offer and I didn’t have any credit history.

Sounds right, though I’m not sure if you’re +1ing my post or trying to dispute it.

Yes. Walk in first tech with your offer. Open an account. Get a credit card. They financed a car to me, no credit history, less than $1,000 net worth, 3% apr

First Tech is awesome. They have special program for Microsoft employees. Make sure you can afford car, parking, insurance, sales tax and tabs. I would have preferred to take Lyft/Bus and maybe join carpool. With carpool you will have predictable working hours
