Kaepernick kneels in protest. Kaepernick loses his job even if he's not that bad. Kaepernick sues NFL. Nike puts him on its latest ad: "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.". Thoughts?
What did he sacrifice? He had multiple chances to sign during and before his free agency
It’s called marketing genius. Nike won. Forget about right and wrong. The amount of exposure they have gotten in the last 24-48 hours is worth close to $100M
He is getting compensated for doing the right thing. Maybe NFL should change with the sentiment of majority of their players. How can someone be expected to stand high and proud of their country when people of their community are being treated as 2nd class citizens without wrong doing (lot of video proof on this) and the perpetrators walk free of jail time.
NFL donated ~$8M to Republican campaign. Trump literally asked to fire Kaepernick. NFL is run by shitty people. I'll force myself to like basketball more.
Soccer is a good sport. Tennis is very competitive as well.
I agree with the kneeling. I don't agree with praising Castro or not voting. But I'm especially put off by Nike's commodification of dissent and the public's willingness to accept it.
I lost you at "Castro"...
Dude spoke positively of Castro in front of a crowd of Cuban exiles: https://www.cnn.com/2016/11/27/us/nfl-colin-kaepernick-castro-feud/index.html
None of the above but clever ad.
"I may not agree with what you have to say (or how you choose to say it that does not impinge on the rights of others), but I will fight to the death your right to say it."
Well it’s nice that an endorsement deal went to someone who did something meaningful and worthwhile in addition to their football skills... but Nike is a cynical sweatshop profiteer. Glad Kaep got paid, but I hope it’s one and done and he gets to play and have his views in the near future.
Meanwhile kids are still dying in their sweatshops. Stay woke y'all
Same in-your-face shit, different day from the left. And, SgtTickles, hardly. Triggered not.
Nike restored faith in humanity (and corporations).
