offer evaluation: Microsoft India(22 LPA) vs Grab India(31 LPA)

YOE: 4yr Gender: Female Microsoft offer breakup , L61 22 L (base) 5.5 L (RSU) each yr 20% performance bonus ( 4.4L) , but realistic is ~10% of base Total ~ 29.7 Grab India, G3 31(base) 2.5 + 2.5l(Joining Bonus) for 1st &2nd yr 4.5l( performance bonus) 6l(digibank) esops +6l (grab) RSU Total : 37 LPA + 2.5 (joining bonus) +1.5 (esops) Please suggest, which one should be better choice in terms of career growth, learning, long term compensation, work culture, job stability. As per my understanding, Grab has startup culture and no work life balance, but high Total compensation. Microsoft has great wlb + job stability, but less TC. Please comment your suggestions and reasoning, it'll be really helpful... #microsoft #grab #offer #tech

Microsoft offer is low balled. Ask for more stocks + JB. 5.5L per year is too low even if after tax.

I've alredy tried to negotiate with MS, by showing Grab's offer, but they are not changing anything.

Higher base is better in future offers because in India recruiters ask for previous salary. BTW, there was no need to mention gender in your post.

Who told you this nonsense lol, if there’s a diversity quota it’s not at l61 lol You can play your d&i card if you’re a top performing l67 that doesn’t have enough opportunities fast enough for partner. We have enough diverse candidates upto senior and principal is debatable.

What is your current TC? MSFT offer is low balled. Definitely it is somewhat your current TC. If you don't Wana join grab, then don't make a switch now and try another companies

I am surprised that even with stocks going higher they are lowballing. You can put your foot down and ask for 60k dollars for 4 years, also ask for atleast 5 l akh joining bonus, basically put the ball in their court. I had got x dollars stocks initially, I asked for 2x dollars and eventually settled for 1.5x dollars, same was true for joining bonus. I can tell you wlb and overall culture is quite good, employee care is also pretty amazing. So I would recommend MS if they provide you your desired CTC.

Honestly they are negotiating, though could depend on individual situations and circumstances. I helped somone in negotiating who joined in February was able to get a better a package.

As far as i know, they ask you for expected tc in msft during document submission. Can you tell how much you asked them in expected tc in msft?
