Mktg Startup getting eaten alive by bigger players

Started my marketing firm in 2013 and was ultra successful in my space (Motorsports). Then saw my unique business model being implemented with larger groups that had name recognition (i.e. Andretti, Penske...). Without a college degree, I can’t transition to work FOR them... So how do I compete??? Suggestions/thoughts/insight would be helpful.

why do you need a college degree to become an employee if you've built an ultra successful related company? or why not sell the company to them?

I call it the racing bubble. The larger teams require a degree before even interviewing. Typical hiring process. Send resume. Don’t care what it says if you don’t have a degree.

standard challenge of getting people to move away from their preconceptions and/or biases. requires a daring premise that will shake them to listen to you. a targeted presentation sent to a key decision maker might be the approach to take.

I have been hired many times where a degree was required. Showed as a requirement, I ignored it and submitted resume and went on interview. A good cover letter can do wonders. You are a marketer, market yourself to them. If you are good, they will see the light and give you a shot. Find a way to get in their face and get their attention. If you got their attention they should “get” that you can do the same for them. Just sayin’. Good luck!
