Anyone working in Thoughtspot India ? How is the culture overall ? How are the people ? Current TC: 0, left recently, yoe: 9
It's horrible, to say the least. Always firefighting and no direction at all. There are too many issues in every team to solve. Hence, no real development happens quickly, and on top of that - morale is low as well. No work life balance as well. Leadership seems clueless. Only one VP is good and rest all are not even close to EM in other companies. Join only if you have no option.
Why’s morale low ? What about the new acquisition that Thoughtspot has done ? Are they good ?
Acquisitions 🙂 another failure by leadership
Also don't forget- layoffs every 6 months as well !! Read this : [Blind] Check out this post! Appraisal (Tech Industry) https://www.teamblind.com/us/s/fMOPn7Lk
The culture is good with a lot of focus on growth in India. It's a good time to join a pre-IPO company with a lot of innovative AI-enabled work happening in many teams. However, layoffs occur every year, and there have been no appraisals for the past two years, which is the case with most big startups in India & abroad. Nothing new in Thoughtspot.
Huh ! Good try HR ! Then tell me why random promos while others are being told no hike or promos and why there is lack of transparency? What part of culture is good? Can you highlight ? Why valuation is going down every year and why revenue missed quarter after quarter ? I agree on innovation in AI only - but that every other company is doing and thoughtspot is not an exception. There is no innovation happening in any other team!
I understand your frustration, but it's important to remember that innovation typically begins in select teams and gradually influences the entire organization. Expressing these concerns externally can deter solid potential talent from joining and negatively impact the company's reputation. While the company's approach to promotions and valuations may seem subjective, it's designed to prioritize long-term value creation and sustainable growth. Feel free to address your feedback directly to management and consider moving on gracefully if your values no longer align with the organization's. There's nothing wrong with that choice. However, continuously spreading fear among potential candidates while remaining within the company may not be ethical.
Layoffs every quarter here.
50 folks fired on a single day.
Layoffs again!! It's a norm here - 3 layoffs in last 8 months !! Don't join please
100 people out again
wtf. And here they are reaching out everyday to hire.
Do you have a choice? Else don't look for confirmation bias
