Anyone from Bridgewater Associates here? How is culture, WLB there?
Check out rays YouTube channel. You will see the iPads they use to rate what they agree with etc when each member speaks.
transparency is critical there. I heard they put video cameras in the office to record meetings/interviews and stuff. I can say my friend who works there is always curious and open minded, and willing to receive feedback from people.
There are people who love the culture and those who are off-put by it. Ray Dalio has long proposed and evangelized the idea of "radical transparency" across his organization, which really just comes down to a platform where you can continuously score (1-10) and provide peers with feedback. The general purpose of the platform is to ensure that there is honest communication and that the team works as one to pursue the truth. Some love the idea, some hate it. Depends on your individual preference and tolerance to feedback.
Worst experience in my life. They buzzing about radical transparency but discuss you behind your back. When you ask why? They answer that you don't match their culture. Think twice.
Hey can I DM you ?
Suggest that you give Principles by Ray Dalio a read, or at least read the summary. The culture is very unique in its implementation of radical transparency, which the book details well. Phenomenal firm all things considered, but the culture is not for everyone.
