Auto insurance went up so much ?
I m on farmers insurance in Bay Area. With a hybrid car of model 2021. Somehow out of no where they raised it from 250$ a month to 350$ a month. And suggested me to get other quotes. Other quotes are super high too over 450$ per month. Wtf is wrong with auto insurance in Bay Area and I feel so disconnected bc I m the only one that has a high rate , all my friends are around 180$ per month What are my options ?
They frankly suggested right lol - shop around, find a better quote and switch. Hard to compare with your friends - it depends SO much on car, accidents history, driver history & affiliations, whether bundled with other insurances, etc.

Don’t call - do a quote online. But put fake email/ phone number or they will spam you like there’s no tomorrow. I’ve been with GEICO for the past ~4 years and so far the premium has either slightly decreased (we are talking a few tenths of bucks per 6mo) or stayed the same. Also about comparing vs friends: some of mine will brag about lower premiums but when you go dig you find out they are cheap AF and put very high deductibles and/or renounced to certain optional (from the California requirements) but important coverages.
Wow, I only pay $1100 a year for two cars, one of them a 2021 Audi A5.
Okay mines a 2021 Honda. Prolly nothing compared to your car. But I have a driving age of 5 years. Not super long. That’s why I feel it’s so disconnected and have no idea what’s wrong

State farm is quoting me 1300$ /6 months (50k/100k/50k) for new 2023 CRV, Atlanta! That’s insane!! I tried getting quotes from Geico, Costco, Progressive and their quotes are above 1300$. My Drivers License is 1.5 years old and this is going to be my first car. Not sure where am I going wrong 😑

Even $250 per month is very high. Some data seems missing. For that matter even 180/mo is on the higher end. Try an experiment - say that your address is in another state WA or TX and ask for a quote. If that is high too then you know it is not CA.
