When I first came to US, I was in awe with what I saw here and that was couple decades ago. Now India has caught up and is actually better. India has better airports, no labor shortage, get passport in a week compared to 7-9 weeks in US, has better roads and is more digitized, cheaper and better healthcare and India being one of the major manufacturers in Pharma. Indian government is also taking major decisions for the betterment of the country at a much faster pace. I see it getting even more better.....with dedicated goods network being built, major irrigation projects being built etc. Only issue is the air pollution which would get better with EV adoption. Mind you that US has better air quality because China is manufacturing the stuff for them. After observing this, I am planning to move my investments to India as I see more growth over there. US would have had more growth if they had done Immigration reform but the Senate system is broken and it would take decades. Agree? Any rebuttals? #US #India #investments #personalfinance EDIT2: Most of the Indians completed their education for cheap in India and think that low income people in US have similar opportunities. US is also going through a major crisis. "More than 106,000 persons in the U.S. died from drug-involved overdose in 2021, including illicit drugs and prescription opioids. The figure above is a bar and line graph showing the total number of U.S. drug overdose deaths involving select illicit or prescription drugs from 1999 to 2021" Also, gun control is nonexistent. Only crisis that beats both is pollution in India which should be taken care off with EV adoption. I am being neutral here....without any bias. For me, both India and US are backward countries. Relatively, India is showing more progress with each passing year. EDIT: Looks like lot of Blinders don't know about the things happening as we speak. Even if you make/build top notch roads in India, people don’t have basic knowledge on how to drive properly.
India is a dump. US infra is better. Drop the pride. You have never seen 900 Americans injured in a single accident.
The US is unable to build infrastructure at a reasonable cost. Everything takes years. Commitees and subcommittees need to put their stamps. Every interest group gets a say. Consulting companies rack up millions on studies. Public work union workers are paid higher than silicon Valley software engineers and work at a snail pace. Etc...
Donald trump is right that our infrastructure is at terrible state
No they're not, LOL.
India has come a long way, the per capita has doubled in the last 15 years but we still have a long way to go since India missed 2 centuries of development under British rule. We would progress faster if we had honest politicians instead of corrupt ones today
This. India was denied 2 centuries of growth under British rule. This will take time. A good forward indicator for India’s development is the # of people who decide to return back to India to develop the country.
Unfortunately almost all the politicians around the world in every country are corrupt to some degree. We as humans probably all are and would be at some point to some degree. So that's never gonna change unfortunately.
You are seeing only the superficial growth. Look at infrastructure fundamentals - city planning, power lines, interstate connectivity, rail systems, commercial logistics, ... things fundamentally needed for good quality of life is better in US. In India most cities have mandatory power cuts in summer, roads are shit, traffic is shit, pollution is shit... And you are talking about better airports, passport services? 75% Indians don't use airports ever in their life and will never go abroad. Healthcare is cheaper because it's highly unregulated. Would you trust an Indian doctor with a heart transplant or a US doctor for someone in your family? Your honest answer will reveal the truth.
I would 100% go to an Indian surgeon for heart transplant. India may look like its not advaced in healthcare but surgeons do a very damn good job.
@Cisco have you been to SFO??? Literally roads are shit? Agree India has its issues but has come a long way and is definitely improving by leaps and bounds
Lol, your job is comedian?
India a dump, this is just propaganda for someone who couldn’t get a GC
Stop calling India dump. What’s good in USA? Drugs, gun violence, divorce and infidelity?
Except gun violence , all those are also characteristics of Indian society. Look at family court system in India in urban areas that are overflowing with divorce cases .
Wishful thinking. Airports? The US has 13,513 airports, India has 346. Better roads? The US has 95,932km of controlled access roads, India has 4,067km. Healthcare? Healthcare by outcomes, the US ranks 18th, India 101st.
US is also 3 times bigger than India.
So divide the US numbers by three. The analysis still holds.
Stopped reading after "Indian government is also taking major decisions for the betterment of the cOuntry at a much faster pace" same bootlicking mindset some of our forefathers had with the colonizers

Better airports? Better roads? I'm sorry but I disagree. Many many Indian roads are awful. Only the highways are ok
Too much corrupt on construction projecs
Roads maybe not all but airports are most definitely better in India
