My entire feed would be somehow full with it. Recently I saw a post in linkedin with the guy posting that companies are involved in "discrimination" due to colleges. If anyone tries to write anything about it then an array of peeps will start debating. Plus these so called influencers aren't any better, they would act like messiahs of the gang and sell motivation p*rn to get more reach. #tech
One gets what he deserve. Some one worked hard/ talented to make it to iit bombay cse for sure deserves shortlist over others
It makes sense objectively. But the selection system for top colleges in India is so messed up that a minor mistake (which might as well come under random noise in human performance) during examination can result in a massive rank loss which ultimately decides college. The system exists because they have this reason to filter the huge number of students. Nonetheless, if a person gets a bad college, the person should work hard to build his/her profile. So most of the times, it's not really a student's fault if he/she gets a bad college. But it becomes a sin if you give up there.
I dont belive that minor mistakes wont make tier 1 candidate to tier 3. Yes it may lead to bit backwards rank. But still good enough for tier 1
These motivational posts are the worst. So much cringe and cliche. I have muted so many of these Messiahs but they still keep appearing on my feed. Kind of frustrating. Don't know how to get rid of them. Hope they don't migrate to blind and ruin this platform as well.
No matter how many you mute more pop over. If they migrate to blind they will start saying amazon has great WLB and post their shiny macbook pros pics here!
Yep, the problem is not with the tier 3 students. The ones who are talented and hardworking end up at good places. Problem is with the "Influencers" who manipulate the rest of the simpletons and make the world a far more cringy place than it already is.
All excuses am from a top IIT , jee rank < 500 cgpa ~9 , 2 internship in big tech and can hardly get any call backs from google recruiters , I only see students from tier 3 colleges getting into google mostly ( my senior at google confirms this too ) The tier 1 college thing is not helping me :(
Mostly girls from tier 3 nowadays , quite easy to get an interview call then.
Man, even if you disregard the girls I find it frustrating they won’t even give me a phone interview I one thing I am obviously lacking is Comp coding experience but now it’s too late to start, I am about to graduate
Linked In is cringe. They are all shitposting and I guess repeating the obvious. It's so difficult to see meaningful posts. Recently, my feed was full of boys in colleges having a discussion of diversity hiring.
Oh yeah, that was so distasteful.
Anyone who is showing off his new job in Google/MS/SF/FB is over confident delusional idiot. You are just a decorated corporate servant on monthly wages. If you don't have any brand name of your "owner", and you show off how big health freak you are, you are a bigger idiot and it shows your inscurities. If nothing is there, and you show off your kids/pets on linkedin, you are super lonely and probably under employed. If you are sharing your political ideology on linkedin, god bless you. Very likely your career is reaching an end soon. You are a champion if you showcase your genuine contribution towards a technology, design or innovation in a public forum, opensource or summit. Small time conference paper or patent does not count - 99% are plagiarized or just a cerebral masturbation.
I am lonely I want to show pets, I don't have any though

Lazy people make all kinds of excuses. I have many friends who graduated from so called "tier 3" colleges but they worked hard to build their own profile and practised leetcode. Now they all work in top firms like Google, Microsoft, Amazon and what not
Yes , i agree. But this systematic motivation p*rn sucks.
I am from tier 3. People can make it from tier 3. After 1-2 YoE current company matters the most instead of college
