Hello people, I have been interviewing since september 2020 .I prepared for around 2 months on and off and gave some interviews.I cleared the first round coding at all places with ease.Companies I interviewed were oracle oci ,splunk,bill.com,marqeta goldman, paypal. My thought after virtual onsite was I did okay at every place except splunk but failed to land an offer. The only offer I got was from a different org in oracle but I turned it down since it was too low.I have never practiced any d&s after I got into my first job on software 10 years back from a non cs background.I completed around 200 lc problems now(only middle and easy).I think my system design rounds have gone fine but I struggle to come up with optimized solutions for coding.None of those problems were really hard but I usually falter at one of the coding rounds.I am on the verge of giving up.Is there angthing that I can do better.I am not looking at faangs as I am just an avearge engineer TC 170K#software #virtualonsite#failure
How was your bill onsite?
Solved all questions but ended up with no offer..its was an easy interview
200 medium and easy LC are useless since you could do easy/mediums without practice. The hard ones are the ones thatll really get you thinking about ds patterns
I was not able to do most mediums or easy without practice
My point isnt to not do them but that 200 is excessive. Maybe 3 of each category is enough(bfs, dfs, etc)
