I am a third-year college student trying to decide on a summer internship (I will be a rising senior so potential return offers). I have three offers: Microsoft PM vs BlackRock Client Services or Internal Tech Audit. Case for BR: - I study computer engineering and I don't know anything about finance so it might be a good opportunity for me to try something different - They pay a bit more - Always wanted to live in NYC Case for Microsoft: - I think I would make a good PM - I am familiar with the tech industry and think it is better than finance - A lot of perks I would really appreciate any help/input. #tech #finance #internship #pm #microsoft #blackrock
Microsoft. Good for the long run since you study computer engineering. Once you graduate you will be competing with other computer engineering and cs grad so having Microsoft on your resume would be a great benefit.
Previously worked at blackrock- those two teams are not well respected. Go with microsoft
I am still waiting to hear back from Portfolio Analytics, how about that one?
No definitely not- if you were in SAE then it’d be a tougher choice. Base salary for first year analysts is 85k- I’m sure Microsoft PM is higher. PM me if you want to talk further
Do not be back office at a firm that does not value technology
