Devs will whine and moan, but entry level positions will increasingly lean on AI to get the basics done, which will result in either entry level applicants expected to be able to do a lot more, or a phasing out of the old guard as AI becomes increasingly capable.
I have AI books from 40 years ago on my bookshelf. Somehow still coding.
