Publicis Sapient - Disaster from the get go

I recently went through nine rounds of interview for a Director role and decided to call it quit after nine rounds. Publisis Sapient team misled and used deceptive techniques (good cop / bad cop) throughout the process. I will never consider them or refer then to anyone. Stay away from these unprofessional folks. Here is summary of my experience: A recruiter reached out for a Management Consulting leadership role. Successfully completed three rounds and in the final round EVP asked product related questions and concluded that I was better suited for Product Org. He misled and nudged in the wrong direction. HR reached out and shared that the EVP thinks Product Org would be better. I was furious and told that I am not keen to continue in the interview process as the EVP miscommunicated and led the discussion in product areas. Another Product VP reached out directly even I told NO to HR and promised there would be one final round. He and HR went back on their word. And told me there would be three more discussions (euphemism for interview). After three more round the haggling on salary and title began. After a week I was told to appear another interview. This time the Sr. Director was quite obnoxious (in retrospect, PS was playing a good cop and bad cop game). He went on five minute monologue on whey he has been selected to take the final call on my candidacy. He would ask some random questions and told me to work on the take home assignment at Friday night! When he shared his screen to walk though assignment I saw him googling the concepts that I was sharing to understand what is it! If tables were reversed I can ask hundreds of questions to make all of the nine people feel small including all the EVPS and above! Finally, I called it quit. These guys were interested in playing games and not serious about hiring. Changed the goal posts for # of interviews (from 3 rounds to nine rounds) Added random interviewers who were egotistical Dishonest about the process STAY AWAY from this company. I will never recommend this to anyone - both for working for them and working with them as a client. I wish I could give them minus five.

Sounds like them. I just resigned and switched from PS. If you have any other offers, consider those above PS. This used to be a good company but the acquisition by Publicis and new management has made this place, to put it mildly, sewage. Even if you did crack the interviews they'd have you crawl on all fours to get promotions and recognition. You dodged a bullet. So kudos

Not saying your story isn't true, but are you sure this is for Management Consulting? First of all, that's a very new department, and very small (think 80ish people across NA) and they don't have "Director" roles (have not seen a director at all). They also don't segregate by product or anything else like that, they do it by verticals. You might be referring to the regular tech and strategy roles. To add a counter point,, I'll say, this has not been my experience at MC in PS. We have some bright people who have been genuinely kind since I've joined and my recruitment process was smooth and very quick. however, your experience does look shitty, I feel for you on that

Can we chat? I was contacted by a PS recruiter for a Management consultant role. I had a quick chat with them yesterday and thought it went well. After reading this post, I’m unsure of what to think! Any insight or help would be appreciated!
