Leave GS after 10month or wait till a year.

Hi, Currently at GS, it is my first job after graduating. Team is good work is sort of not so cutting edge. Tech feels slow at GS. I am getting another offer at much higher pay which is fully remote (a huge plus point in my opinion) at bugcrowd. Current comp: 17 L INR + 4L variable bonus YoE: currently 10 months. New comp: 60k USD + some expenses + shares (company not public yet) Question is should I wait to complete the 1 year experiance mark. Or quit now? In both cases will have to pay GS 3 lakh inr cause of leaving before 18 month mark. Edit: after some reading looks like they don't always ask for paying it back. Maybe I can get around it.

Just leave, it's your first job. Nobody would care that you left after 10mo and not 12mo

You got an US offer from India ? As far as i have learnt from blind , as an fte you can't work from India for a us job permanently .😕

Goldman Sachs sed-Life OP Apr 18, 2021

I think you can but I'll read up more on it. It's advertised as a fully remote position.

U would pay taxes to indian govt or us?

Goldman Sachs hf_trader Apr 18, 2021

Good job getting a US job being in India :) Btw just leave GS irrespective of whether you have to pay back 3L or not. Think long term, 3L is nothing in comparison to your new annual salary. Plus the tech is shit here.

How is tech slow there?

Goldman Sachs sed-Life OP Apr 19, 2021

By slow I mean evolving/moving onto the latest tech that is currently being used everywhere else. The NDS (network desktop) are a pain to use, the lag is insane esp for indian Dev's with NDS in US (no one knows why). In house implementation of things for which open source things already exists. The documentation is outright bad. Most things take days to resolve due to no documentation, have to open tickets which then gets me the answer which could have been easily resolved if there was documentation.
