Robinhood is awesome, they disrupted a huge industry. Pinterest is just a webapp, we can easily live without it. They need to offer higher to attract talent. go for robinhood.
Just because you can live without it doesn’t mean it doesn’t have value. Has over 410M MAU. I am sure a lot of people can live without Robinhood as well.
Pinterest is lot more differentiated than Robinhood. Pinterest has network effects, Robinhood has zero network effects, and no differentiated value proposition except a fancier UI. I can get the same zero dollar trades at multiple platforms, but I cannot get the same richness of ideas in my areas of interest anywhere except Pinterest.
100% Robinhood no doubt about it. You'll be going to PINS at stock all time high - overvalued. Much more upside on RH stock. Your stock vests over 4 years, the reason the PINS initial grant is more is because their price is sky high. Also haven't you seen how they treat women and how much of a disaster their orgs are? Terrible product vision, just plastering ads everywhere. Look at why their last SVP & VP of eng (CTO) left, not to mention that wild COO story. You're risking your reputation if you go there now. Better to stay at LI than go to PINS imo.
FWIW, the stories of recent discrimination claims including the ex-COO, have been solidly discredited by details people have given in our internal blind. They are pretty clear cases of underperforming. Care to provide more details on why you think VP of Eng left?
I second this ^ Internal blind is filled with ppl coming out and talking against the COO’s claims. Don’t make your decision based on that article.

Be careful if you’d like to join Pinterest. Avoid Ads eng if possible. Full of politics, way too many managers, hard to get things done. Many good people are leaving, mediocre people are staying, taking advantage of the foundations built years ago. Working at This company is most worst experience in my career.

Why will you move from LinkedIn to Robinhood ?
Pros i see in robinhood is its young company has only 600ish employees. Hiring a lot, quite some room for growth. When it hits ipo i believe its current price based on current valuation should be 3 times. This is what i have seen other companies give, which makes your pay go up by 1.5x directly. A better potential of being a director which is my aim in the next 4 years or so.
