Nearly 340 new unicorn startups—or about one each day—have privately raised money at valuations north of $1 billion this year, more than triple the total from last year, PitchBook data show. https://www.wsj.com/amp/articles/the-900-billion-cash-pile-inflating-startup-valuations-11640539562
Almost all will get shuttered. There will still be winners like Stripe but 99% of the current unicorns are overvalued shit.
How did you come to a conclusion that stripe is a winner? What stats is your decision based on?
All saas will get decimated because they assume way too much future cash flow. 100x psr will not stand with higher interest rates. Stripe likely has less than 2B in revenue - it will not be a favorable market for an ipo.
Bust all series A, B type smaller ones. Unicorns with decent revenue will get along ok. Some others that are bleeding losses but promising will get acquired. The rest will die.
Just joined a unicorn now I’m scared 😬
Which one
Biotech unicorn, dont want to dox myself but feel free to dm me
Most of them die if the recession is deep
How would Roblox fare in such a scenario ? I think it's currently valued at $40B
I wonder how the company is doing? Last I checked their earnings, they're still net negative (forgot whether they're net negative even after only counting hosting costs)? Not sure whether their revenue will tank once parents can't afford Roblox gift cards anymore...
The mediocre ones die and the strong ones rise faster
They won’t be unicorns anymore
It'll hurt bad
Their valuations are gonna drop like a stone.
⚰️
I think Stripe and Databricks would survive though
Doubt all the AV meme startups will
