Hi guys, I got laid off 2 months ago and just got two offers. My situation is that I only have 2 years out of 6 years left on my h1b visa and my top priority is job security and get my perm and i140 approved in the next two years in order to extend my stay in the US. Offer 1: A local company in traditional industry. Full time position. TC 95k + 15% bonus. They offer day 1 green card sponsorship after I brought up offer 2. But less than 10% employees at the company need immigration support. Offer 2: One-year contract position with Intuit through Kforce. TC is about 160k after annualized. Day 1 green card sponsorship through staffing company. The staffing company did mention about potential to extend the contract and convert to full time employee but it remains unknown until 9 months into the contract… Any one has any advice? Also, if any one has experience with Kforce I would greatly appreciate it too!!!! Huge thanks!!!
Play safe route, your goal should be GC, not money! Once papers secured you will have all the time in the world to go for money
That’s 100% correct. But honestly for these two option really don’t know which one is better to get my GC 😂
95k is enough to meet the requirements of h1b approval?
It would be tough to get I-140 approved in 2 years if the company doesn't have batch PERM.
omg… why would situations like this? Anyone who only has less than 3 years left on h1b is at high risk now.
Hi OP, can I ask how u got an offer from Kforce? How did you get in touch with their recruiter?
Option 1: stay there for 2 years and leave.
Thanks for the insight but also heard from previous employee that the company’s immigration team is slow.
2 years should be enough for slow immigration team but plan for z2.5 years
