My current comp at Google is ~450k (200+250). I've started looking into smaller companies (late stage or pre ipo) with TC for senior or staff engineers more than this. Any leads? I've found - stripe, plaid, databricks, Instacart till now that seems from public forums are paying more than my current tc. Thank you!!

Other Google@ also thinking about switching?:) Where are you headed to? @Databricks - is work culture, comp etc different in different parts of databricks? I ask because my recruiter mentioned that interview process will be completely different based on whether I wanted to join product teams vs niche database team. Another question is more about your opinion - given databricks already has crazy valuation, do you think there's much $$ benefit joining at this point?

OP: Your life is my dream :) If 450 K cannot bring happiness, not sure what else will? In this whole TC game, ONLY 50% of that TC belongs to you; the other 50% belongs to Biden & Harris. I can see a lot of chest puffing about solving LC Hard, very hard etc., but how about any person or group of LC Hard solvers coming together and creating that next big technology innovation? Only entrepreneurship will guarantee happiness to high achievers who are in the 400K+ TC. Freshworks CEO Mr.G is worth a cool 700M+ after their recent IPO. I want to see a subset of high achievers here discuss, brainstorm and create the next cool innovation.
