Hello brothers and sisters, I was laid off recently as well and I am lucky to land a job at Affirm. The entire interview process was super swift and it only took ~2-3 weeks. I told them I was on H1B so they expedited the process. I enjoyed the company culture. Max takes care of the employees. People here are collaborative, smart, and fun! Affirm is also remote friendly. I understand there are worries regarding a layoff, but I’d say no place is safe now. Affirm did a mini layoff last Nov and offered the impacted 6 months of severance. I cannot guarantee there will not be a layoff at Affirm but the company is treating its employees well. Base: You can find the base pay pay scale on the job links and the job grade (see below; just included one of the slides). The base pay is transparent. Equity: New hire equity award: vests over three years; monthly vest Promotion: at least annually, not sure if more frequent Performance: (eligible throughout the year) Refresher: yep refresher is available Others: In addition, we have ~ $8000 cash benefits (reimbursement for food, tech, and lifestyle). The health benefits are superb. Free healthcare for you, your spouse, and your kids (including Kaiser). If you are interested in any open roles on the website rn, please send me your resume, a short description (third person), and job link to the email: affirmrefer2023@gmail.com. Affirm is currently hiring senior + roles. You don’t need to submit anything after the referral. I will reply to your email if the referral is done….(1-2 days max). Good luck friends! #severance #layoff #affirm #tech #remotecompanies #remote #referral #refer
Tc and yoe or gtfo
Lmao no they don't.
You talked about different things, pls shed some light on pay scale at different levels, how is promotion culture, how are stock refreshers and bonuses, performance reviews etc
Added!
What do these grade levels map to? What grade is senior etc
You will find the grades on the job links. For tech, senior is usually 30 and above. For non-tech, senior is usually 28 and above
I was on multiple companies before affirm, faang included, culture here is way better, level of engineers way better, I work in ML here , can't think to switch to anywhere else (maybe OpenAI sometime in future ) TC 470k YOE 12
Good to hear, I have similar yoe, currently staff at pypl on the way to promo. What level are you and how does the future look?
I'm staff L7 here, future looks pretty optimistic, we have good leaders, and projects here is really interesting to raise your ML expertise, if that's matter to you Again, compared to what I saw before at meta, Uber and Spotify, here I see my learning curve go up every week
Is engineer pay location adjusted?
TC? YOE?
