I have around 5 years of Experience – 3yrs after Undergrad CS and 2yr after Grad School in Business Intelligence. After Grad, I received two offers and I picked the current one which is an SW developer, and the other was a Data Analyst (mostly BA Skills with SQL + Tableau) with Charles Schwab. Ever Since I started my current job, I did not like it for a single day although I survived and managed to complete the work, I don’t love it. Even the team is remote now and I completely hate my manager. I wanted to make a switch quickly but there were some issues with Visa regulations and my personal health. I have now started looking for new roles with much less self-confidence being out of the market for quite some time. But I am so confused even now about how to proceed with the career path. I really want to get into what I studied with, Data Analyst or BI Engineer. But in turn, it won't be a senior role and my current two plus years experience in development won't make sense in getting a senior role as well. When I think about making use of this experience as a bonus, I like one role with Microsoft as Program Manager but in long term will that turn out to be a TPM or Product management role? but I like to explore the Product management role and don't go on the Technical design side. Or should I start fresh and apply for Data Analyst, BI roles which I feel satisfied but thinking in terms of financially for the long term I doubt if I can cross 300+ TC like how this SWE market goes. Please guide me on how to go about this. I'd love to hear from you smart people. Exp : 5 TC : 110 #dataanalytics #softwareengineer #productmanagement #tech
