Broadcomm WFH/RTO policy

Guys, I am considering joining Broadcomm due to a good offer. I am wondering are there any exceptions from Broadcom on blind, who has successfully been able to get a flexible schedule to go to the office? Meaning 1 or 2 days wfh allowed for some period of time?? Offer d TC: 400 k (bay area) Thank you in advance. ๐Ÿ™ #broadcom #amd #intel #qualcomm #meta #arm #nvidia #jobhunt #offer #wfh #returntooffice

Itโ€™s 5 days in office, badge in and out tracked to ensure at least 8 hours a day.

Jeez in and out tracked. Thatโ€™s crazy

Broadcom Ltd. BrcmSymc Feb 3

NOT tracked

Broadcom Ltd. yakf75 Feb 3

It only tracks in. I donโ€™t see how they can track out. At least not at our site.

Which site?

Be ready to sell your soul. No exceptions even for GM level. Every damn small thing will need approval from Hock which means itโ€™s non-existent. Any promotion to ICB5+ level also needs Hockโ€™s approval, so forget promotions

Man! If it is that bad why are ppl still working? This seems like a horror story! I am super confused now! Thank you for info though!

There are 2 kinds of people. H1B slaves People who only work for money

Wow. When I see the statements from other Broadcom people here, it really makes me question the people I work with. In the BU I'm in (no, I won't say) I haven't experienced any of what I often see people belly-aching about here. If you live in a city with a Broadcom office, the expectation is that you go to work, do your job, and be an adult. Part of being an adult is having families, other obligations, and things that need doing. As long as at least 70% of your time is physically present and working, your work gets done, and you're meeting expectations, no one cares. If you report to a manager who is making your life hell above this expectation, then you have a bad manager. It's not a bad company, and the money is some of the best in my 20+ year career.

Thank you sir/mam! Good to have positive perspective! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Lot of false information here. Been at broadcom for 10 years now. Came in at around 130k now at 1.1m. 5days wfo but only badge in is tracked. As long as BU at 70% attendance then no issues. People do WFH as needed in our BU. It has to be reasonable If you are a good performer, you will make good money here. If you are a slacker, then you will be shown the door.

Thanks for good overall picture then just a rant! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Curious to know how much of this 1.1 m is from the stock appreciation and what was tc before last 3 years . And the rsu granted in this price , would that see similar appreciation?

Congrats OP - RTO is officially 5 days a week, but exceptions are carved out. As long as u can do 4 days(75%on avg) per week u will be okie. Iโ€™ve worked her since 2010 and my WLB has improved under Hock bcos the BU only pursue projects that make financial sense. Colleagues are also very nice. YMMV - based on your BU/team.

Thank you ! Very comforting! Good to see positive/neutral comments!

VMware vm_where Feb 3

Just know that whatever 70% or 75% attendance these folks are saying includes your sick days and PTOs

Qualcomm hj1980kk Feb 3

OP, whats the offer?

Broadcom Ltd. mcmohan Feb 3

Itโ€™s all good. Just buy your own ๐ŸŽ‚ when the time comes.
