Hello folks! I am an undergraduate student at one of the target schools in my country. I am looking for (remote) internship opportunities at growing startups to work as an SWE. I've been into software engineering and programming since my sophomore year. I've been a part of multiple open-source projects where I was the lead developer and the primary contributor. One such project was building from scratch, a new optimization package for a rising programming language, which has now received over 100 stars on Github. However, my single best experience as a developer has been my internship at Uber. I enjoyed open-source internships and projects, but I absolutely loved working for Uber. Perhaps it was because this was my first experience at a big tech firm, but the infrastructure, documentation, and just overall engineering culture at the company were such a great thing to be a part of. Of course, the work itself was also an incredible learning experience, especially because it was a subpart of an actual ongoing project, and therefore did not feel like a random side-project that was made up just to keep me busy. In the end, my work was quite well appreciated and I was offered a return offer for FTE role. Anyway, the point is, interning at Uber made me realize just how nice some of these companies can be in terms of the technical learnings and the exposure to good software engineering practices. So I am looking to relive such an experience by working as an intern yet again, this time preferably at a growing startup to steepen that learning curve even further. My skills include proficiency in C++, Golang, CUDA C, Python/Cython, gRPC/protobuf on the backend side, as well as Apollo/graphQL, React, and JS on the frontend. I am also quite familiar with observability as a problem and have worked on distributed tracing and the ELK stack. Finally, even though my semester is going on, I've already finished most of the credit requirements for my degree, so my current sem only requires around ~10 hours of (online) classes per week. Thus, working as an intern would not be a problem at all. If your organization has the requirements and can host an intern remotely, please DM me. I can start anytime (as early as this month), and would be happy to work for any duration between 2-6 months! I'd be happy to share my resume and talk about my projects in depth if you're interested! Thanks so much! #bolt #splunk #sourcegraph #uber #stripe #airbnb #expo #intern #software #tech
