The company has been doing really bad financially this year, by a large margin it has not met any target. However, the first layoff wave came as surprise for many under the former CEO, but after her removal the new CEO has been very clear the company is in dire straits thus the second wave of layoffs arrived. Only naive/stupid people would say this was a surprise since the warning signs where always there. Instead of worrying about the company and it’s results, too many snowflakes hate the new CEO because the way he talks and he called out the drama queens. Karen the old ceo was the perfect fit for them, she ruined the company and didn’t have the courage to be transparent about the finances but as long as she was kind the snowflakes will prefer her. If the CEO is bullied out by the mob this company is over, the next months will be very interesting. #layoff
Part of the success of a strategy to save a company is communication in order to emphasise and encourage belief in what needs to be done. He is severely lacking and hobbling his own efforts. He is the prime source of all things leading to distraction and 'drama'.
Such a dramatic post. And naive too if you want to pin the current state of the company on the former CEO.
Ah yes, good. Wandering around blind baiting random internet assholes into our drama with all the right wing’s favorite words. Sounds useful.
How do outsiders know this much about what’s happening internally 😂
To say "dire straits" is a bit dramatic. Plenty of runway and yoy growth of 40%+... Hired aggressively during pandemic and missed the outrageous targets because, frankly, they were never achievable. I'd be positive about the future but it will get worse before it gets better
What's the current valuation of Intercom ? My friend has an offer and considering. It looks like the 409A valuation was revised down a few times but has started ticking back up ? 1)Is the current Valuation higher than in 2018 Series D? 2) What is the current revenue run rate i.e. Mar 2023 multiplied by 12 3) what was the revenue for full year 2022? Appreciate any insights that can help make a decision.

Meta E6 offer.
Your new CEO, who was the CEO before Karen, has sexually harassed employees at Intercom. I don't know what is happening inside Intercom, but you need to take a step back and think for a moment before you defend such people.
He also designed the pricing that has hobbled the growth of the business. He acts like the success of the business hinges on people moving faster. How about he delivers a strategy that doesn't involve getting into pissing contests with staff and let's see if that helps turn things around. Also, language matters. Describing the situation intercom is in as a war is ridiculously tone deaf. For a company that prides itself on clear communication it seems like the 🤡 in chief wants to spend his time larping as Dollar Store Elon.
Being triggered about wartime equals being a drama queen. I didn’t see clear communication about the finances until he came honestly
