Hey everyone, Anyone have an idea of how Broadway is for a software engineer for Quant Algos? I’m trynna profile this company for my next job, (main competitors include Barracuda FX.) Any advice is appreciated :)

Salaries in Canada are garbage compared to the US and Broadway is no exception. For senior the base is around 120-140k CAD and a bonus of ~20k CAD and stock. They were private when I was there but now they have been acquired by ion so not sure if you will get stocks. I will recommend you against joining Broadway unless you are desperate for a job. The company is going through rough times after ion acquisition and the attrition is crazy high. The swes there are generally nice and pleasant to work with but the management sucks. Some of the engineering managers have no software development experience and they assign impossible deadlines for tasks. It is a small company but still it is very difficult to grow there unless you are close to management. Favouritism triumphs over meritocracy there.
Think of it as Amazon level pressure but lesser pay. Hope this helps
Checkout their glassdoor, they decided to rescind new grad offers for some folks last year. I used to work there and highly recommend against joining them.
Surprising to see your answer here, I did not think I would find anything about Broadway on Blind. I believe there may be some value in joining them, depending the stage you're on your career. However, it can also be quite unpleasant for more experienced devs. My biggest concern is with technical leadership in some divisions. There are some senior leads that believe they are above any software reviewing process. They may be great developers, but pretty bad at leading tech projects, just pumping garbage everyday into that mountain of legacy code. Obviously not going to say names, but I remember a guy there that probably lies somewhere in the autism spectrum. What do you do when you need the collaboration of someone like that?
Nice to see someone from Broadway! Are you still there? How are things after the ION acquisition? My biggest concern about Broadway is that it claims to be a meritocracy but only people close to management are rewarded. I have personally seen excellent developers denied promotion while average developers close to the management are promoted.
