Got a recruiter call coming up but no info on comp here. Anyone know if they issue options or RSU? TC: 425K
Options have tax benefits but you have to pay from your pocket. Think like : Salary - options exercising cost, can be very expensive in some cases.. Go with RSU for the peace of mind. I've done both and options are always tricky.
Depend on the startup. Most fail and you don't want to sit with worthless shares your paid taxes on.
They told me offers are non negotiable, did you get the same?
Do they consider remote candidates?
Don’t startups mostly give options?
Some give RSUs
Totally depends on the valuation of the company and how they want to structure it. Options are hard for companies with high value because you have to pay to play, and the strike can be really high on mature startups. That’s why RSUs were invented in the first place.
