I'm talking with a VP at Ericsson about a potential role where I have some influence on the definition of the role. I want to make sure I'm able to speak knowledgeably of the way Ericsson does career banding and that I'm calibrating correctly where it sits from a career development perspective. I'm coming from Verizon where I am a Senior Manager with 12 years of experience (Total comp = $200k base, ~$40k annual bonus, ~$10k stock incentive). What career levels does Ericsson use for people leaders? #telecom #career
Wow ok great thank you
Resparking this since my original question wasn't answered. Anyone have intel on the Ericsson job levels for people leaders? I'm looking for the names of the levels more than anything else, but additional info will help.
Here's what's typical at Ericsson: Job stage 6 : First level manager Job stage 7 : Senior Manager or equivalent Job stage 8 : Director or equivalent Job stage 9 : VP or equivalent
If you dont mind me asking, how attainable is it to get the Verizon bonus? I'm joining soon and this is my compensation package too
Pretty attainable. For band 6, a target short term incentive bonus of 20% of base comp is typical. They then layer on business unit performance to determine the final approved number. In the 5 years I've been there the final approved number has been between 95% and 105% of target.
