i-485 AOS - colourful driving record from CANADA (where i'm from)

So, I used to be a pretty big moron. Everything below happened in Canada (British Columbia). Back in 2001, I got caught driving with a suspended license. Went to court, and I pled guilty before the judge. I spent 5 days in jail. Also 12 month driving suspension. Also, I've had numerous traffic citations, things like: speeding, changing lanes without signaling, disobey traffic control device, U-turns, etc. I've NEVER had anything like a DUI. All the traffic tickets were way under $500, and most were under $200. All in all, maybe around 20 tickets. 15 of these tickets were between 2000 - 2010. I started driving in year 2000. My driving abstract from British Columbia shows as perfectly clean (the licensing body only goes back the most recent 5 years). I've even asked for a copy of all the tickets that I've ever received, and licensing body (ICBC) was only able to dig out 7 traffic violation tickets from their archives. I'm about to file the I-485 and I-140 concurrently in about a week. I am in the EB-3 line. Anyone else with an interesting driving history that went through AOS? How'd it go for I-485? I've been in the US since 2021. Got WA driver's license in 2021. I have never been issued any traffic violation citations in the US. Thanks, #AOS #i485 #GreenCard

If you cant present evidence of citations and your province doesn't have a record of it in abstracts, the citations don't exist. If you mention them in your i-485, they may issue an RFE for court records of these citations. Do you think you can get them?

The fact that I went to jail for 5 days for the Motor Vehicle Violation back in 2001 - this record I'm sure I can get a copy from the British Columbia Provincial Court, as it is public record. As for the various driving violation tickets, the 7 traffic violation tickets is all that the licensing body (ICBC) could produce from their archives. It was in some deep storage microfilm department, and the request took over a week to complete. I asked how come that they don't have a copy of the other violation tickets, they simply said that the articles were too old and minor, and so sometimes that they get destroyed. I was able to get my exact count of 20 driving offences (in detail, offence date, and the specific offence), because a kind service rep at ICBC stayed on the phone with me, and read my entire driving record that they had on their internal system. It took maybe a dozen phone calls to finally land on a customer service rep who would do this for me - all the other reps simply refused or would put me on hold, then drop the call. Yup, working with an immigration lawyer that MSFT has designated for my application. The lawyers have not yet seen my driving record. Everything has been sent off, so the lawyers will see it soon.

Speeding tickets etc are fine, but I'd be worried about the conviction and jail time, which may or may not show up in a background check. Honestly just talk to an immigration attorney.
