I'm looking to switch to some other company at some later point of time. Currently, I need some system design and general interview practice. Please suggest some companies (preferably India-only), where I can practice interviews as a candidate. I'll prefer to not have any consequences if I get rejected, or self-decline the offer. I want to also keep open an opportunity for future international offers, so good MNCs are also out of equation for now. Like I won't be interviewing for Amazon for now, since I can use them for a competing offer later when I actually want to switch. Thanks in advance. Let none of this be a reason for you not to join Google. The tag is still good to get. My career trajectory has been below average, which is not very common I think, so don't hesitate in accepting a Google offer if you get one. #engineering #software #swe
You work at Google, any company will be ready to interview you. Just see open roles in LinkedIn and apply. Apply for a location which not your current and later you use location as an excuse to not join the company if you get an offer. 😊😊
Thanks! But I actually don't want to waste my time on giving 10 rounds of DSA interviews. That's why I thought looking for specific company names might be a good idea, but I mostly only know of MNCs, and for others, I'm not sure of their process
Most companies would start with DSA round, I am not sure what you are looking for here. You want to practice interview and that only system design. Why would they Interview you on just system design, they will at least follow their own process right ? Being part of full loop interview for a decent company is an involved process. You should rather try to find system design mock interview buddies so that you can optimise your time and it is fruitful for both the parties. I tried this and it produced good results for me personally.
DM when you're ready to finally interview. Top pay + excellent distributed systems work + great culture.
Thanks a lot! I heard that confluent pays a lot with good wlb and also has good rating on blind. Will try for it, once I'm ready. I'll DM you when I'm looking for a serious change.
TC? And why are you leaving Google?
there are platforms like pramp which allow a few test interviews. Also, interviewready has a free mock interview feature. You can check these before going for actual companies
I'm trying on pramp, but it can't actually match real life interviews since there's on pressure/consequences, and it has limited no. of problems. It's good for development or getting feedback, I think. Also, I don't feel the motivation to do pramp. In case of interviews, atleast I'll have to push myself to do it
What did you end up doing Google?
"Google culture in India is mostly dead" ??
Why leave google? Current tc ?
