Nah, no need for a written offer. Just tell the competing recruiter that you have another offer in hand, etc. I’ve never come across a recruiter that asked for proof.

I got the following offer for a Senior Software Engineer (Hardware based) role. I guess you have to negotiate. Hardware roles wouldn't necessarily be underpaid. 160k base 15k signing bonus 15% annual bonus $35k/ 3 years LTI 210K TC
