Microsoft Annual bonus

Had a recruiter from MS reach out. When asked about the compensation for L63, they told me bonus is 15-30% of the total comp (including RSUs). Is this true? I have never heard of bonus being calculated on total comp, it is always on the base. Current TC: 250K #Microsoft

Haha I know more people from Microsoft going to Bloomberg. Shoot a PM so we can stay in touch? And give each other referrals?

It's % of base and practically if you don't underperform it's more likely to be between 15-21%. Even 21% is on the high reward side, definitely not something you can expect as a new joiner. To get more than 21 you probably need: - multiple heavy low performers in your team with similar or higher level than you. - a manager who is willing to take the money from them and transfer it to you. - Meaning that probably you should be the best performer as well It's not impossible but the majority of these conditions are out of your control.
