Hello, I’m in the middle of the interview cycle for an Engineer position at Adyen’s Toronto office. During the HR screen I was told the salary band was ‘90K-140K TC’, comprising of base, bonus, & RSUs Does anyone know what this breakdown is? I’m trying to figure out if the name is worth RTO and having to rent in the GTA. Thanks! TC: 125K CAD #interview
I would not RTO for $140k CAD.
I wouldn’t either, especially if it’s actually $100
Not sure about Canada market but for Netherlands, the breakdown for news starters were as follows: - base - phantom share bonus(now RSU) (last I heard 80% of base over 4 years, so 20% of base per year) - Adyen+ (1k eur in Ams so maybe 1-1.5k CAD per month) - health + lunch allowance ~2.5k eur yearly I'd suspect it is max 105k base + 21k stock per year + 10-15k adyen+ totalling to around 140k.
Thanks for the breakdown. Is this for senior SWE?
@LCboi I am not sure about the band for each level, I just interpreted the max number given in the original post and brake it down wlth Amsterdam benefits to get the base salary. The 80% RSU (over 4 years) was awarded to most of the new joiners in tech unless they negotiated for higher bonus, and they vest on your starting date next year so you should not take into your take home income. After 4 years, you are given 10% stock. However, Adyen+ and other benefits such as health and lunch allowances are granted every month, so that's cool. TC: 90k EUR, 1 YoE in Eng
Adyen+ is there way to tell you to get your ass back in office by paying you a bit more
@GrubHub no way, it is 12k bonus paid out in partd every month. So 1k included in your paycheck every month, not 12k :) Also it is taxed at ~50% in the Netherlands, so only 500 EUR in real cash. Not bad but it is a sneaky way to give raise without compounding the further raises.
What level?
