Loved in SF for 2 years and NYC for last 2. Tired of all the homeless and crackheads everywhere. Can’t get peace of mind and streets smell like piss. Where in the US is a nice clean tech hub with least amount of these ppl Tc 305
As far as NYC goes it kinda depends on what neighborhood you’re in
This
Lived in NYC for 8 years...recently moved to FL to build a house...but that last year in Manhattan, I lived in Battery Park...super clean, feels like a friendly neighborhood and is much safer than most other neighborhoods in the city.
Be the change you wanna see dude you make enough TC to become a batman like figure. You could clean up them streets instead of running away.
Not funny
I sarcastically advocated for vigilantism, but for real most of us on Blind make enough TC to make a positive impact on the homeless population. Running away is not the answer
Raleigh / RTP
They pay peanuts in Raleigh
I was thinking of moving to Raleigh. I don’t need to make a ton of money, just really need health insurance tbh and something fun to do. How are the schools for grade schoolers? What are some of the nicer areas? No more of this Seattle shit.
boston
Dallas
Vote wisely on 2024. The real piss smelling garbage is sitting in the White House.
The President is going to clean up local streets? Yeah ok.
Vote locally for non progressives. Almost no transplants give a shit about local elections which is how we end up where we are.
Zurich, Switzerland
RTP, North Carolina
Raleigh/Durham probably has the best quality of life. You take a pay cut but the cost of living is much lower than the pay cut.
Austin, RDU.
Clearly have never been to Austin
Thankfully 75% of the voters in Austin passed the resolution banning "camping" aka being homeless (this is the correct move). Any tents or camps are usually cleaned up weekly and removed from sight. The city owns a ton of hotels on the outskirts of town and shelters removed homeless there. The main downtown areas will have 0 homeless as well as anywhere near the UT campus. It's not perfect, yet, but the homeless problem in Austin is <1% as bad as it is anywhere in California. Texas sent DPS/highway patrol to patrol Austin as well, which has helped tremendously. Another thing is VERY little anti-social behavior from homeless in Austin because they don't tolerate it like San Francisco does (no one will throw shit at you or follow you around, etc) this is probably because TX is a FAFO state which in general just leaded to better quality of life overall.
