How is it to work at GitLab as a SWE and also as a PM?#tech #pm What is the work life balance like? What is your view of their product management team? How is the leadership? TC: £100K
Work life balance is really good - they talk the talk and walk the walk; nobody is expected to work set times, many people go off in the middle of the day to take care of their lives. No one cares if you don’t pay attention in a meeting and we always try to work async because of timezones. It’s family and friends first, work second and that is felt throughout the company. You can see majority of how the company works through the company handbook - it’s public for everyone to read.
I read somewhere gitlab is soon going out of business. Is it true? I always wanna interview at Gitlab just to see if I can get an offer.
Thank you nicx2 for sharing your experience. How is the health of the company in general (financial outlook/lay-offs etc.)? I read in one of the reviews on Blind that it is heavily US led/focussed (i.e. people in the USA have more power). What's your view on that?
They post their meetings and production troubleshooting on Youtube
