I've been having some mental health issues lately related to stress from single parenting... I used to have a therapist but they don't take my current insurance (Aetna), and I was thinking about using Lyra health, which apparently Facebook provides 25 free sessions for per year. Has anyone used them before and can comment on if they're worth the time? I have never used them before and have zero knowledge (will do some reading on them shortly). I'm switching over to a high deductible plan for next year, so I would prefer to use Lyra rather than paying out of pocket for therapy sessions.
I'm using it, connected me to a therapist. I had more mental problems at Amazon but now better. I guess I just need someone to talk other than my close friends or GF upon whom I have dumped too much negative emotions since last year.
My mental health has been worse since I joined FB, but it's not because of FB per se, but because it being a new job and new environment outside of academia (I'm a new grad), coupled with single parenting. I feel like it's made me stressed and therefore impatient and that's translating to my parenting.
Totally understood, especially some might also have the visa uncertainty issues. That being said, anxiety, frustration, fear of under performance, exhaustion are typical symptoms that indicate you should probably seek for professional help. On the other hand, spouse or friends might not understand or want to listen to you or help you in anyways. Do find a therapist, Lyra would provide you one after your intake questionnaire, you got 25 free sessions per year, probably just use it. Or else let me know if you want someone to talk to can try my best to help.
Lyra is good. The problem is finding a good therapist. You may want to try a few before deciding. Personally I’m better at self-study and research, so in the end YouTube and blogs were more helpful for me. But you should really understand what you problem is. In my case it was CPTSD affecting my work and life under stress
Is Lyra analogous to insurance where you need to find a provider who takes Lyra?
Your employer pays for sessions with a provider, so any available therapist on Lyra will work with you. No insurance needed Lyra is essentially in-network set of providers with a good search and booking engine
My one time experience with Lyra years ago had me quit at that session right away. Not sure if it’s the therapist or it’s the style of Lyra conduct? I was going through a lot of negative emotion and a lot of it was feeling so down about myself. My Lyra therapist in my first session didn’t let me talk and instead treated it like a project with goals, agenda etc and made me come up with plans and milestone. I felt like she didn’t understand when someone is feeling this low, there’s hardly any motivation or confident or any fuck left to be productive … On top of that they also told me what i said in the session will be shared with my employer, anonymously but for data purposes. Was it like that for anyone or I just had one bad therapist?
For anyone who is looking for some help https://moonlightmft.com/ Lyra Health benefit under EAP which can help you get no cost therapy sessions.

How realistic is the claim that Muslims will take over Europe through immigration and birthrate? (They proudly said it)
I use it at Salesforce and got connected with a good therapist. Your company may give a x number of free sessions per year — I recommend
