YoE: 7 years 5+ years in Apple platforms with Swift (iOS, macOS, watchOS). Started my career with 1 year in .NET (backend engineer). Last 3 years, I've been freelancing. Now I decided go back to full time role as even though pay is more per month, it is not constant throughout the year and work is not challenging. I've got an offer from Walmart (Chennai) for IN4 level at ₹40.4 LPA (28.3 Fixed, 5.4 Incentive, 6.7 RSU). I've 4 weeks to join. 1. Is it possible for me to get offers from some US tier-1 companies before joining Walmart? How can I go about it? 2. Usually, how long would the interview process take in such companies? What steps should I follow to fasten the process? #tech #walmart #iOS #swift #engineer #offer
If you already have an offer, don’t hold your breath. Join and keep interviewing. Process can take as long as companies want and is usually influenced by their headcount needs. In short, just join and keep interviewing. Also, can you tell me about freelancing ? I am interested in starting. Where did you do? And did Walmart ask for your last 3 months payslips ? Freelancing doesn’t give monthly payslips right ? So how did you convince Walmart ?
Thanks. Ideally, I would join and keep interviewing but my only concern is that I'm in a different city (Bangalore). Walmart has hybrid setup which requires 2 days every week on the office (in Chennai). But most of the other companies I would like to join are in Bangalore. Regarding Freelancing, I found some contracts in UK, KSA, UAE through contacts. It was good during Covid and not so much afterwards. I told the HR about freelancing and she asked for Payslips from my company before that.
