What do you know about Shipt? Good culture, people, work, TC? Any reasons to avoid them? Would love to hear what you think if you have any experience with them. Thanks.
Shipt is too young to judge. They are backedup by Target, typical startup yes
Friend works there. Great WLB, nice people cool office. Tech stack is go and python. Lowish TC. I interviewed there, was on my way to an offer until I told them about my FB offer and they they just gave up.
Shipt related link. Maybe this is why no Shipt people replied. https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/dygxzw/target-shipt-delivery-app-workers-retaliation
Good culture and great WLB. TC is moderate, it's no FAANG. After the Target acquisition, stock options were replaced with long term incentives. Effectively a yearly bonus system; increasing bonuses for the first 3 years, after 4 years you can expect ~25% yearly bonus. A lot less risk/reward than startup stock options. In the Engineering org there's 2-3 teams I wouldn't recommend. IMO those teams either don't have a great manager or haven't hired a solid Sr Dev.
Pay and culture wise not good.
What’s not good culture wise can you elaborate? I am Joining soon
NO, management sucks.
I was interviewed there a while back, after several rounds of interview, I got a response that they were not sure if my skill was high enough. Typical start-up, they don't know what they are looking for.
I'm currently interviewing with them right now.. Would appreciated some tips..I work as a vendor for walmart as well
