Two ppl ordering same Uber at same time, same destination. One got 18 dlls price. The other got 24 dlls. Very random eh?
24$ guy had a lower battery
Do they live in the same place? Or is the distance from those places to their houses the same length? So many variables.
They live in same place
It would be surprising if this happened with ordering Lyfts. If I recall correctly, Uber tests price sensitivity on a user level.
Who ordered first?
This is called exploiting consumer surplus. Look it up. If Uber is successful in doing this on a large scale it’s awesome for them
If u search the same source and destination multiple times within 3 minutes, the price will rise for the 3 minutes
Sometimes it's the route taken. I live at a weird road intersection with highway entries and what not and the rate I get depends on which highway the route is suggesting. Sometimes the route taken is terribly redundant.
Demand surged with first guy's order
