Refreshers and annual raises at VMware
Vmware folks, what do annual refreshers and raises (if any) look like at Vmware cloud. Specifically at mts3 level, but any info is super helpful. Just got an offer from them for 150k base, 125k rsu for 4 years, 25k signon for the first year and 12% annual bonus. Have 11 y.o.
Location?
Regular raises range from 0-7% (performance based), whereas standard refreshers are usually 30k - 60k. Fyi, the bonus can scale up or down based on performance (up to +50% multiplier)
11 years should be at least MTS 4. Base is ok for MTS 3, same with RSU and sign on. Raise is usually 3%. If you work hard, mostly +2 extra on top of bonus. If your base is below market, your manager might add a little more making you think you're getting more while you could be in the low end of compensation. Bonus can be more than your target, but rarely goes above 110%.
Someone above said Vmware gives 30-60k worth of refreshers a year at mts3 level ? That is really solid,how common is that ?
From my experience, pretty common. You'd only not get refreshers of you were underperforming
What is a sr mts annual rsu refresher on average ?
None of my teammates get refreshers in my team except those get promoted get very little FYI

MTS-3 for 11 YoE? Refreshers are not as good as other companies.
