Went to lunch with group of people. There was an issue with splitting check at the restaurant, so we decided to split it. One lady( in late 30s) hands me a check for $18. I couldn't believe it for a moment. Do you carry a checkbook ?
What exactly is Carrie doing to checkbooks?

I hide about 1k in cash mixed bills, blank checks and gold coin in a custom build hidden compartment in my 2008 Miata.
im 28 and carry checkbook. i also ALWAYS carry a 6 ft rope, 2 boxes of mints, a pair of tweezers, spare batteries and of course a towel. you know for reasons... gigity!
No checkbook but there's always a folded up blank check in my wallet .. just in case

I got rental properties and usual maintenance interactions. All technicians, labor take paper check from me, they don’t like electronic invoice and payments. Can’t help it.
What year do you live in?
Does it matter if those certified people refused to take electronic payments but they are real good with their work though there are in their late 40s? I have been taking their service for last 10 years and I am happy with them.
Late 30s, I could believe it.
