To MBA or not to MBA
Currently working as a software engineer. My ultimate goal is to be in a C-suite role in a tech company. There are two ways as I see. One is EM route and the other is PM route. The EM route doesn't need an MBA but the PM route is easier with an MBA . Is it worthwhile to do an MBA at this stage of my career? Is it easier to get to C-suite via PM compared to EM? Not having an mba did not really work against me in any pm interviews so far. And you Don't need mba to get a PM role especially for internal openings. Plenty of pm jobs at top tech companies expect technically sound people with little bit of cross domain coordination skills. If you still want to do an mba, Just plan for a 1 year mba rather than a 2 year mba.
