with everything thats happened, where should a confused new grad go? (posting for friend) msft tc: 180k first 2 yrs then 160k (advertising) rh tc: 200k 1st yr then 190k (security) ty 💙 #microsoft#robinhood
Didn't Robinhood just lay a ton of people off?
yup hence the dilemma
For me that makes it an easy choice - we are entering a recession you're going to want to be at the place with better job security
Go to Robinhood. You’ll experience better growth than maintaining .NET monoliths (I’m not kidding, unless you’re into that stuff).
Robinhood stock can't go much lower than this (we say that every week)
Vance it’s ~10 for so many days. I don’t it will go low based on cash in hand. If company doesn’t do anything yes it will go to drain
new features every week but hood hasn't moved much-is it doomed?
Location? Compare benefits and tax too
msft - bellevue, hood - remote 🥹
If remote base in CA then u still need to pay CA tax but Low COL area would offset that. If i were u, i would pick msft then jump to other places like G, Meta later on. Hood is kinda risky...
Microsoft
ouch
Microsoft
Microsoft, read some RH reviews on the company page and take a look at the pulse scores
Microsoft
Robinhood, hands down.

robinhood for sure. don’t know about their business model but their engineering bar is way higher than microsoft.
Agreed. As someone who currently works at ms ads.. choose robinhood especially early in your career. Swe at ms ads is about as technical as a PM.
omg this is totally the dilemma... I think rh does sound more interesting but i'm also scared of the instability right now
