role or company??

would you work on an internal tools team at facebook partnering with enterprise engineering (basically IT) to support sourcing/procurement for data center servers, or would you work at a smaller pre-ipo company say stripe, airbnb, tiktok in a product facing role partnering with product, software engineers, ds etc?FB is more prestigious but not sure about role....

Facebook, at the end of the day brand sets you up better for future opportunities. I worked at a well known top company for less pay starting out for 5 years. Even 10 years later interviewers still want to talk about that experience.

I had a similar dilemma. I turned down an internal product role at a hot startup and went for an external PM role at a less known big old tech company. Thought the external user exposure would be good. Does the brand really matter that much more if the experience is legit?
