Udacity self driving nanodegree

Was anyone able to transition into self driving after doing this?

Apple dafrut Aug 1, 2019

Nope, not me at least

To be clear, you finished the nanodegree? And you've applied and gotten no responses?

You don’t need a nano degree to drive yourself. You need a DL.

I did the course and loved every bit of it. The course is pretty complete and actually relevant for the area. However, it would be incredibly hard to work on all the projects sincerely and be able to pick up advanced topics like Kalman Filters and Particle filters with one hour of video. If I was hiring for the role, I would not offer anything more than intern position if the background is only this course. But don’t get discouraged. Udacity is the best industry related courseware out there. And have heaps of improvements in the area of Job search help and industry partnership. So do the course just for the fun of it. Career change will follow.

So what background do you need? PhD?

Google poorrich Aug 1, 2019

At least 2-3 years prior experience in the area for Software engineer 1 . This area of work is very different from all the other engineering works. PhDs are generally useful for solving pointed problems, but would be a costly option as software engineer.
