I believe i have a decent TC. Would like to know what community thinks. Should I jump ship or just continue ? - great WLB. 30hrs or lesser per week. - stable product and BU. So stable job for now. - recognized as top performer after some visible projects. - 22k minimum cash bonus/year from 2021. Hpe stocks suck but maybe additional 2k vesting each year. - Not sde but software role. Bay area - expecting first baby mid 2021 - zero commute. WFH forever. Maybe 5 days per month office visit after covid. Spoke to a couple of nonFAANG recruiters and the range they gave is more or less same. Pls advice should I prep for interviews and aim higher or this is decent ? Yoe 6 TC 195k household 350k #tech #salaries #wlb
You need to seek a higher TC. It may not make a difference right now, but it will make when you retire
If you are male then you can take advantage of HPE's paternity leave before deciding to move
Good point. Forgot that.
Any more suggestions ?
OP, Did you switch?
Are you happy at you current situation? If so then don't change anything. If not, then be aware that chasing higher TC always requires more work (at least for preparation) and you'll temporary lose part of your current happiness. If you're ok with this, then do it.
