Varsity Tutors (Seattle)
Anyone know the inside scoop on Varsity Tutors’ tech hub in Seattle? Interested to know more about the pay and work culture as a PM, specifically, or just in general. Sounds like it was opened within the last two years by ex-Amazon execs and they recently raised $50M in funding to expand.
I’d avoid. It’s HQ’d out of St. Louis by a typical St. Louis guy who’s hardly traveled and values getting recognition from the local business journal. It’s extremely sales-oriented, too. Margins are thin. The vision is basically “get more sales guys.”
