JC anyday - rent + state tax
JC sucks
There are nice towns - Newport waterfront, Hoboken , Downtown JC.
Seattle is more expensive from a rent standpoint. But becomes a wash when you take into account no state income tax.
I guess OP should suggest specific locations. Each area it’s rather big. JC can be easily affordable in the Heights or Journal Square. If you’re talk about “waterfront views” then you’ll get a different answer. It’s all about wants versus needs.
