Roblox Interview - Karat
Recently gave my karat interview - I was asked 3 LC medium questions - multiple versions of the island problem. I solved 2 completely and 3rd one i wrote most of the logic, just didn't get time to test it. The recruiter next day let me know that - "We just had a minor reorg lately so it may take some time to get back to you.". What does it mean, i am on standby or something? Last time, similar stuff happened was with a startup called "Magic Leap" and he did acknowledge it did well but i was not standby, and was reached out later but took another offer. Not sure how long i will need to wait. #engineering #swe #software
As of today its 380 in 2 months. Roblox just solve the questions tagged as roblox in LC premium and things should be good. Also roblox values completeness and the follow ups are transitional. Ur design will need to adapt to new changes.
What was your approach to do so many questions in such less time. I got a call from Roblox today and need to prep for the Karat interview in like 2 weeks. I completely have forgotten to Leetcode and need guidance. Any suggestions?
Karat interviers are verh robotic, dont feel bad for urself if it didnt go well. Interviees should ideally reflect real life scenarios..coz thats what they interview you for. Its like interviewing your leetcode cache.
What was your magic leap offer ?
Oops, sorry i forgot the magic leap was 4 yrs back, when it was kinda hot. I see that the entire team i interviewed work for Apple now. Just that things dint work out and I couldn't wait anymore due to some emergencies.
Tbh no need to worry- that sounds like they think you are good but need to figure where to put you. Also thats good performance man - typically i can barely do 2 questions in 45 minutes.. how many leetcode did you solve for prep?
Ok i got the reply from roblox, they say i did awesome in the karat. I was just worrying unnecessarily. Now have prep for the rest of the process.
