Wells Fargo

The salary range for a job I’m interviewing for is $126k-$234k with a midpoint of $180k. It’s with Wells Fargo as a “mid-senior level” and I meet all qualifications including the desired/preferred qualifications. What’s the likely offer they would offer? Anyone have insight given the info I posted? Thanks #interview #finance #wellsfargo #salarynegotiation

Just an intern here, but I’m following as I’m curious about the process as well. 🤔

They will probably offer 80% of midpoint but you can negotiate for higher.

Interesting that they do a percentage of midpoint

I was given top of range before. So it’s not out of the question . Is that TC or base? Hard to say what they will offer not knowing your background, how you interviewed Etc.

This is only the base pay range.

You were given the top range? What happens when you receive raises and go above? Assume I’m well qualified with 15+ years of experience

Wells Fargo ORC3 Jul 9, 2021

As a external hire they typically do 85-95% percent of the midpoint.

It's more like 80-90% these days

It will depend where you live and what cost of living is there.

NYC

Wells Fargo Fappin@tor Jul 9, 2021

Almost NOBODY gets midpoint.

Blue Meridian bballqueen OP Jul 14, 2021

Lol…..why? Who is making the top range?

Wells Fargo Damr724 Jul 9, 2021

It honestly depends on your work experience, the needs of the role / team and their budget. If there's a desperate need and your are an authority on the subject, they might pay you above midpoint. It's really hard to say because Compliance will have a different budget and need than Tech or Originations or etc. What business, role and job function are you applying for? Also, location will play a factor as well. Finally, there are some roles with good bonus targets, so that can be a factor here as well.

It’s under public affairs under corporate social responsibility. Social Impact specialist

You could be God down from heaven and you'd be lucky to get 90% of midpoint. Yet do work hard to negotiate hard for more as there are next to nothing for merit increases each year. Less than COLA.

Blue Meridian bballqueen OP Jul 14, 2021

Like 3% raise lol
