Current role is DE work. I build data pipelines using spark and snowflake. I enjoy the role and the stack. Get to use new tech like snowflake and databricks. I have an offer from an internal team as SDE. That team works a lot on internal tools for the company. They do a lot of Java/Soring boot. (fyi I have never coded in Java) They mentioned building middleware. They also have some DE work involving Snowflake and Plantiar foundry. Personally, I want to focus on building large scalable systems. Doesn't have to be just moving data like DE work but in general want to work on projects that deal with scale, if that makes sense. What I hate doing is any frontend work or in general building pretty UIs for apps and stuff like that. And I want to code more. Realized I enjoy it and I'm pretty good at it. I think the SDE team will be good on resume and then help in switching when I start looking out of this shitty company. TC : 🥜 95k - SDE role would be 105k YOE: 1 - hence confused and kinda nooby question
